Big Leg Emma/Why Don't You Do Me Right - Verve VS 557 UK Promo/Test Pressing?

1967 - Big Leg Emma/Why Don't You Do Me Right - Verve VS 557 UK Promo/Test Pressing?

Some times ago I got images of an UK white label testpressing. Not long after this I got Images of a pink label promo where the label was peeled off. Underneath the pink label was the white label. See the images to the right.
I checked my own pink label copy and I could feel, that the label was sitting very loose on the single. I can also feel the KT marks under the pink label, so I'm very sure, my promo copy has a white label underneath. Another ZappaFrenzy contributor checked his promo, and there was a white label under it.
More info is found on the main Big Leg Emma/Why Don't You Do Me Right site.

My question is: Why does the pink label promo of this single have a label underneath? The white label does not contain very much information and looks like a testpressing label.

1971 - Tears Began To Fall/Junier Mintz Boogie - Reprise Records K 14100 UK

The UK version of this single has significant more treble, and it sounds really bad. See the diagram to the right.
Another issue is, that the UK "Junier Mintz Boogie" has a cold and unnatural ending, whereas the other releases fade out. It sounds like, that something went wrong in the production of the UK release. what really happened? Why does it sound so different?

Thanks to JH for the diagram.
